The Liversedge brief
For a Liversedge or Roberttown extension, establish which parts of the old building are being retained and how new construction will connect to them. An earlier addition may not match the original house in levels or construction. Record that difference instead of drawing one continuous floor line by assumption.
Preparation guidance, not a survey of your property. The location photograph shows the area; it is not evidence of work by ATR.
WF15 / 01
Survey old and later work separately
Bring to the conversationA measured plan identifying original and later construction.
Why this matters
Mark changes in wall thickness, roof form and floor height on the existing plan. Ask which retained parts need investigation before the new design relies on them.
WF15 / 02
Specify the visible connection
Bring to the conversationMaterial photographs and a section through the old-to-new junction.
Why this matters
Record existing materials and choose the proposed junction deliberately. Include sills, eaves and rainwater details in the specification so quotations are based on the same finished arrangement.
The address matters
